Job Summary :
The Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure optimal operation. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required. The Equipment Technician will also be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the production process.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field or technical certification preferred.
- Experience as an equipment technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment.
- Equipment and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Good understanding of safety regulations and practices in an industrial setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying physical conditions.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues and perform repairs as needed.Ensure equipment is calibrated and operating within specifications.Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvements to enhance production efficiency.Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to the established schedule.Work closely with the engineering team to implement process improvements and resolve technical issues.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and time spent.Ensure that safety protocols are followed during maintenance and repair activities.Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address equipment failures and ensure smooth operations.Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns promptly and work effectively to resolve issues.Participate in equipment performance reviews and recommend solutions for improvement.Assist in training new technicians and team members on equipment operations and safety procedures.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards, including safety and quality procedures.Work Experience with the Following :
