The LDRP Registered Nurse at Southern NH Health provides comprehensive nursing care to mothers and infants during ante-, intra-, and post-partum periods, including support for Cesarean and gynecological procedures. This role focuses on patient-centered care, integrating best practices and evidence-based approaches for optimal birthing experiences. The RN collaborates with families to ensure individualized care and is part of a dedicated team in a 24 / 7 staffed labor and delivery unit.

Who We Are :

The Birth Place is a 18-room labor, delivery, and post-partum department that cares for 1,200-1,300 babies and their families annually throughout their stay at the Medical Center. The Birth Place is staffed 24 / 7 by Obstetricians and Certified Midwives. Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s labor & delivery unit is designed with family in mind. Our teams work with patients to ensure the experience throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and post-partum are as easy and comfortable as possible, and that parents & babies have the support and resources necessary to meet their specific healthcare needs and birthing plan goals.

About the Job :

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, The Birth Place (BP) Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to mothers and babies during ante-, intra- and post-partum periods and includes in-unit Cesarean and other gynecological procedures.

• Assess and implement priority-based nursing care and establishes goals to meet the patient’s needs
• Integrate patient values, best practice, and evidence into patient care
• Engage patients and / or families in the care delivery
• Function competently within own scope of practice
• Utilize a communication style / practice to meet the needs of the team and / or the situation
