ADB is seeking a Foreman to join our wireline team and provide proficient level manual laborer and equipment operations. This position will lead the installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provides proficient-level manual labor and operations including hand digging with a shovel, setting up traffic control, entry level equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, operating equipment, leading crews, etc. on various safety sensitive utility construction sites
• Proficient with utility print and map reading
• Has performed at least 1 year of independent operating of various equipment (directional drill, mini, plow, hydro, etc.); fully trained in all safety regulations of operating heavy equipment
• Supports and leads the setup and shut down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc.
• Safety is the expectation, always leads and follows the required safety practices while performing safety sensitive duties
• Has professionalism to communicate directly with customers, subcontractors, homeowners, etc. and address any complaints / issues that may arise
• Trains other construction crew members on fiber installation practices, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
• Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites
• Leads by example, ensures safety rules / regulations are followed, and can lead others on jobsites
• Performs OTJ training with Senior Foreman and / or Supervisors to grow skills in the utility construction trade
• Leads the culture of identifying hazards by utilizing the pre-task process
• Performs other position duties when requested

The starting pay for this position is $30.00 and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
