Audio Lab Technician New Technology Investigation

Cohesive Technologies LLC is a global IT Services & Solutions company delivering technology solutions. We are seeking an Audio Lab Technician to support a New Technology Investigation project in Redmond, WA. The role evaluates emerging audio technologies through measurement, testing, and analysis using Soundcheck and other audio test systems.

Location : Redmond, WA

Position Type : Full Time

  • Plan and conduct a series of audio tests and experiments to evaluate new technologies.
  • Operate and maintain SoundCheck systems and related measurement tools.
  • Troubleshoot and debug audio circuits and systems using digital oscilloscopes and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Collect, analyze, and document measurement data to support development decisions.
  • Summarize and present findings clearly to engineering teams and external technology partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems engineering.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment, identifying and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Acoustics, Audio Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with audio testing and measurement, particularly using SoundCheck.
  • Strong understanding of audio electronics and signal paths.
  • Proficiency with digital oscilloscopes and other troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience planning and executing tests, analyzing data, and presenting results.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or SoundCheck sequences).
  • Familiarity with emerging audio technologies (e.g., MEMS microphones, spatial audio).
  • Experience working in an R&D or prototype lab environment.
