Overview
I. Summary of the position : The Video Production Specialist is the creative force behind BRAVE Church’s video content, overseeing the full lifecycle of production—from concept to final delivery. This role is responsible for producing high-quality video content that supports and enhances all BRAVE ministries, including pre-produced and post-produced projects, live capture, and strategic distribution. As the lead storyteller, this individual ensures every video reflects BRAVE’s mission with excellence in narrative, visual quality, and emotional impact. The specialist collaborates across departments to manage all video production assignments, bringing vision, technical expertise, and leadership to each project. Success in this role requires a dynamic blend of creativity and precision, with proven skills in : pre-production planning and project management; on-set production and video capture; advanced editing and post-production workflows; content delivery across digital platforms; team leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving. This is a hands-on, high-impact position for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ministry-driven environment and is passionate about using video to inspire, inform, and engage.
II. Experience and Knowledge Required :
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, or a related technical field preferred; alternatively, a combination of formal training, certifications, and 4+ years of hands-on experience in video production will be considered.
Team-Oriented with Biblical Alignment Demonstrates a collaborative spirit and commitment to working within a team guided by biblical truth and ministry values.
Visual Storytelling Expertise Skilled in crafting compelling narratives through video and audio, with a strong sense of pacing, emotion, and message clarity.
Technical Proficiency in Editing Software Proficient in industry-standard tools including Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, with working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D considered a plus.
Camera Operation Experience Hands-on experience with DSLR and cinema-grade cameras, with a deep understanding of framing, lighting, and audio capture.
Advanced Workflow Knowledge Familiarity with 4K (or higher) video production workflows, including file management, color grading, and export optimization.
Volunteer Training & Mentorship Ability to teach, mentor, and empower volunteers in video production processes and equipment usage.
Strong Organizational Skills Exceptional time management and project coordination abilities, with a knack for keeping production timelines on track.
Multitasking & Project Management Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
