2nd Assistant Superintendent
Assists in the oversight of the overall maintenance of the golf course. Ensures the proper application and handling of chemicals and fertilizers.
Essential Duties :
Education / Experience :
Bachelors degree, Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from four or two-year college or technical school; three to four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Degree preference in agronomy / horticulture / plant / soil science).
Physical Demands :
Regularly stands and walks. Occasionally sits, climbs or balances, tastes or smells. Regularly uses hands; reaches with hands or arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls; talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Environment / Noise :
Occasionally works in high, precarious places; contact with fumes or caustic particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally works in extreme cold or heat (non-weather) and deals with the risk of electrical shock as well as vibration. Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and works near moving mechanical parts. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Regularly wears safety equipment that covers the entire body and may trap body heat and moisture.
Certificates / Licenses :
Valid pesticide application license, Valid drivers license

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., chemical labels printed in English must be understood and followed as required by law; the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers; the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
