Job Details

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheets, P&L statements, and other reports summarizing financial position for assigned locations.

Perform monthly reconciliations for all liability and equity accounts; identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Serve as a key liaison between location managers and the finance team, ensuring timely communication and resolution of accounting issues.

Support the budgeting process for assigned restaurants, including compiling data, reviewing variances, and preparing reports.

Process and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Oversee accounts payable accuracy for assigned locations, confirming invoices are recorded and paid properly.

Complete bank reconciliations, monitor for fraudulent activity, and implement preventative measures.

Prepare and file monthly and annual sales tax returns.

Review rent and CAM statements annually to identify and resolve overpayments.

Maintain accurate vendor files, including W-9 information, to ensure compliance with 1099 reporting requirements.

Assist the Restaurant Controller, Finance Director, and CFO with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with industry-specific accounting systems is a plus.

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
