About Rowan and IRT
Rowan University is seeking an innovative AI expert to join our growing community. This position will be instrumental in shaping the university's future and is a unique opportunity to use technology to improve upon and expand a state institution that impacts the lives of tens of thousands of students, faculty, and staff each year.
In this position, you will work with any and all technology teams to support your creativity and expertise. As a member of the Enterprise Applications Software Development department, you will have access to development of custom software solutions and integration with third-party solutions supporting the university's software ecosystem.
General Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior AI engineers and data scientists.
- Lead the design and development of AI-driven solutions, leveraging extensive experience in software development.
- Collaborate with all IRT teams to ideate, create, and build various AI features into new and existing user experiences and applications across the university.
- Integrate AI technologies into existing systems and workflows.
- Contribute to AI strategies that align with Rowan University's goals and objectives.
- Conduct research and stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
- Design and oversee the deployment of scalable AI architectures that support high-performance computing and data processing.
- Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to tailor AI solutions for the academic environment.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.2 years professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on generative AI and / or machine learning.Proven track record of designing and implementing AI-driven solutions.Expert proficiency in Python or C#.Experience in AI cloud technologies (Azure preferred).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Knowledge of ethical considerations in AI development.Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.Experience with Data Science in a professional setting.Deep understanding of generative AI models and algorithms.Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.Experience with the selection and implementation of third-party AI solutions.Experience working in higher education or a similar environment.Notes :
