Summary :

Manage personnel throughout the build and debug process of each project to ensure on-time delivery with the highest quality. In-depth knowledge of proper assembly practices is essential for building projects and training other assemblers under the Lead role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Build, Integrate, and Commission Machines :

Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly with exceptional craftsmanship to meet project run-off and ship dates.

Apply welding knowledge or automation experience to support build and debug processes.

Safely handle heavy machinery, including robots, welders, conveyors, and other components.

Project Kickoff and Documentation :

Attend project kickoff meetings and document key information from engineering to ensure project success.

Manage all assembly documentation, including customer specifications, cycle time charts, quoted hours, and drawing packages from Project and Systems Engineers.

Project Communication and Status Tracking :

Attend weekly project status meetings prepared with updates, presenting issues and progress using visual tools like whiteboards.

Communicate daily with project managers on project status and progress.

Prepare accurate estimates of remaining work using assembly hours tracking sheets and provide updated assessments at weekly meetings.

Material and Resource Management :

Review material shortage lists with the expeditor to ensure timely component delivery in line with project schedules and milestones.

Forecast manpower needs, manage assembly personnel efficiently, and maintain a prioritized list of remaining tasks.

Quality and Compliance :

Ensure assembly personnel follow customer specifications and correct assembly practices.

Provide guidance and training to team members to maintain quality standards.
