Sr Transportation Coordinator

Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to join their team. As a Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will be part of the transportation management team supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title : Senior Logistics Coordinator Location : DeKalb, IL / hybrid What's the Job? Execute product transportation efficiently and effectively by leveraging available tools and processes to surpass service expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service, carriers, facilities, and deployment, while maintaining a professional demeanor in all forms of communication. Demonstrate initiative and make informed decisions independently, considering customer needs, facility requirements, and carrier capacity. Manage planning anomalies and analyze non-routine problems to understand underlying issues. Track shipments in transit and identify potential risks for mitigation. What's Needed? High School Diploma, with a college education preferred. Transportation and / or logistics experience preferred. Strong customer service skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook Programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. What's in it for me?
