A company is looking for a Senior Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer responsible for performing safety analyses of a Demonstration reactor.
Key Responsibilities
Develop system models and perform safety analysis for Anticipated Operational Occurrence (AOO), Design Basis Event (DBE), and Design Basis Accident (DBA)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish functional, performance, safety, and quality requirements for reactor systems
Contribute to safety method development and maintain documentation of model development and analysis results
Required Qualifications and Skills
B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering or a relevant engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear field
Extensive experience in nuclear safety analysis and nuclear reactor system modeling
Significant experience with safety analysis software such as RELAP5, TRACE, or TRAC
Knowledge of nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic fundamentals and reactor dynamics
Familiarity with nuclear design, regulatory requirements, and risk-informed performance-based technology guidance for Non-Light Water Reactors
