About the Role
The position of Senior Customer Service Banker is responsible for providing leadership, support and direction throughout the customer service banker’s function. This role is responsible for both service transactions and relationship development, focusing on deepening customer relationships, identifying financial solutions, and supporting branch sales goals. The Senior Customer Service Banker assists customers with routine transactions while also consulting on financial needs and opening accounts that align with their goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serves as a leader throughout the customer service banker function, providing directions on complex questions, demonstrating proper procedures and acting as a mentor to other employees.
- Provides prompt customer assistance in all areas, which could be in person, over the telephone or through email and may include teller transactions, account balancing, transfer of funds, wire transfers, retrieval of statements and documents, stop payments requests and online banking.
- Resolves customer inquiries, including the research of deposited items / corrections, account balances, transaction research, online banking and debit card trouble shooting.
- Manages all aspects of the deposit account relationship, including interviewing and identifying customers, recommending and opening personal deposit accounts, cross-selling bank products and services and conducting timely customer follow-up.
- Supports the Bank’s strong relationship culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service and product knowledge.
- Serves as a primary liaison for debit card disputes, WSUDS, fraud inquiries, and Business and personal on-line setup.
- Processes customer transactions timely and accurately, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Transactions may include accepting deposits, cashing checks, processing withdrawals, accepting loan payments, redeeming savings bonds and selling negotiable items.
- Responsible for balancing a teller drawer, maintaining a balancing record within Bank guidelines.
- Assists in vault balancing, coin machine and ATM balancing while monitoring cash supply.
- Open and close the bank as assigned, completing all required duties involved.
- Completes other duties as assigned by retail leadership which may include providing coverage in other bank locations as necessary.
Qualifications
To be considered, you must have the following :
High school diploma required.2+ years of financial institution experience and cash handling experience required.Knowledge of related state and federal banking regulations and other Bank operational policies.Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures along with Bank products and services offered.Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence and speak clearly to customers and employees.Commitment to providing superior customer service to internal and external customers, always demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality.Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships to collaboratively achieve Bank goals.Primary office location will be Ramsey but individual hired for this position must be able to travel to other bank locations as needed.What we Offer
