Special Investigations Unit (SIU) - Field Investigator

Ethos is looking to hire a full-time experienced Insurance SIU / Claims Field Investigator in the Milwaukee, WI area.

Job Description :

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our growing team of professionals. We are looking for full-time employees who can work remotely, independently, and enjoy a good challenge.

Applicants must have a highly flexible work schedule. This industry-wide requirement involves cases that often require odd hours, including early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and evenings.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU / Claims) Field Investigator conducts recorded statements / interviews, accident scene investigations, online research, and witness canvassing. They recognize issues of compensability, misrepresentation, and understand insurance coverage as it pertains to claims decisions. They identify red flags and follow the investigation leads, conducting thorough investigations with due diligence.

Experience :

• Previous SIU experience with an insurance carrier or investigative firm.
• Former military or law enforcement experience.
• At least two years of experience in property loss investigations or adjusting, including theft, fire, water, wind, and vandalism losses.

Licenses / Certifications / Insurance :

Skills :

A SIU / Claims investigator must have strong computer and internet skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. They should be persistent, organized, and attentive to detail.

Required Equipment :

The ideal candidate must own a well-maintained vehicle, a Windows-based laptop, a cell phone with a good internet connection, a camera or comparable equipment for photographs, and a recording device for statements.
