Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is on track to become the largest comprehensive spine and joint care provider in the southeast while providing the highest quality clinical, surgical, and imaging services to our patients. We are seeking an experienced Junior Systems Administrator to join our internal IT team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a corporate IT environment, including a strong foundation in providing user support and a working knowledge of network infrastructure. This role is a key escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems and network.
Key Responsibilities
- System and network administration : Administer and maintain Windows servers, Office 365, and corporate phone systems
- Tier 2 user support : Serve as an escalation point for technical issues that cannot be resolved by the help desk, including hardware, software, and networking problems.
- Infrastructure support : Assist with the management and troubleshooting of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Security and compliance : Perform system patching, security audits, and monitoring to protect against threats. Enforce security policies and procedures.
- System maintenance : Conduct routine system updates, patches, upgrades, and perform backup operations to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Process improvement and automation : Research and recommend innovative approaches for system administration tasks. Develop and maintain basic scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to automate recurring tasks.
- Documentation and reporting : Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting. Generate reports on system performance and incident resolutions.
- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with IT leadership and other IT team members to resolve complex issues and implement new solutions.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Ability to travel to various company locations required.1–3 years of hands-on experience in a systems administration or intermediate IT support role.Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows).Basic knowledge of network protocols and common network tools (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP / IP).Experience with corporate phone systems.Experience in a help desk or user-facing support role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Associate) are a plus.Duluth, GA $65,000.00-$75,000.00 2 days ago
