The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center, adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.
Job Description
Be a part of the pre-opening team for the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel. Opening Fall 2025, the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story property located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, connected directly to the Broward County Convention Center. The hotel will feature 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa and fitness center, and over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.
Responsibilities include supervising the day-to-day operation of the department for a given shift, controlling and distributing operating equipment, maintaining cleaning and sanitation standards, supervising all utilities, pot washers, dishwashers, and worker assignment tasks.

- Responsible for assisting the Executive Steward with the efficient and effective running of the Steward Department.
- Assist in supervising Stewarding team ensuring all assignments and tasks are performed to Omni standard and within the required timeframe.
- Maintain a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the Stewarding areas.
- Execute company and hotel policies and procedures relating to the Stewarding Department to ensure services meet established performance standards within budgetary controls.
- Responsible for storage and requisitioning of all materials and equipment.
- Take and calculate material stock (inventory) as required.
- Report breakages, cleaning supply consumption, etc., to the Executive Steward.
- Establish standards of performance for the Stewarding Department in conjunction with the Executive Steward.
- Maintain all equipment to a high standard (e.g., dishwashers, burnishes) and report defects to maintenance.
- Ensure proper cleaning, distribution of all china, silverware and glassware; minimize breakage of circulating equipment.
- Revise daily banquet event orders (BEO) for changes.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous supervisory experience in a similar environment preferred.Previous experience working in a steward / dishwasher capacity.Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS :
