This is a full-time position NOT represented by a union. The salary range is $48,841 to $64,489. Please note that the final salary will be determined by our Classification and Compensation team after reviewing the candidate's experience and considering our internal salary equity.

Job Summary :
This is investigative work in the Office of the Inspector General. Employees in this class are expected to progress through various developmental levels as they attain the necessary knowledge and skills required to assume responsibility for more difficult assignments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Demonstrated knowledge of the current uses and capabilities of personal computers, databases and their software applications, including Word and Excel. Effective communications techniques and procedures. Effective interviewing techniques. Demonstrated ability to analyze, assess and draw conclusions based on a multitude of complex documents and data, including but not limited to policies, procedures and financial documents. Write succinct and organized reports. Exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters. Interact and collaborate with others effectively. Organize tasks and assignments, manage time efficiently, meet deadlines and multitask. Interpret District policies and guidelines to District personnel. Learn routine auditing practices and procedures. Learn investigative principles and concepts. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, staff, governmental officials, and the general public.
