Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for HVAC and Plumbing System design for commercial buildings? We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will focus on optimizing layout to reduce installation costs while delivering the design intent. This role involves designing and modeling mechanical systems, producing fabrication-level detail drawings, and working closely with the project management team to enhance estimating accuracy and procurement efficiency. Responsibilities
Provide mechanical design and stamped construction documents (drawings and specifications)Conduct field verification and analysis of existing systems to inform designPerform load calculations and equipment selectionDesign HVAC ductwork and piping layoutsSupport operations team with permits and code complianceCoordinate designs with other disciplines (controls, structural, electrical)Mentor and guide assigned engineering personnelPerform audits of building systems and collaborate on energy savings calculationsDevelop project schedules, budgets, and contracts with project teamsSupport sales with customer visits and technical presentationsCommunicate technical concepts clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholdersStay current on industry trends and new technologiesRequirements
4+ years of engineering experience.Professional Engineer License.Working knowledge of duct and / or pipe systems and associated fittings.Experience in detailing using 3D software (CAD & Revit).Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is .Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with strong written and verbal communication skills.Benefits
