Responsibilities :
- Agile Engineering Best Practices- Senior QA Performance Engineer owns agile portfolio management tool administration for the team, creation, and tracking of portfolio items and stories and onboarding and training of new users; creates all metrics and data visualization for data managed in the tool.
- Business Partnership & Consulting - Establish and maintain high trust, and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and leadership and own end-to-end delivery of performance test engineering of assigned projects; Build understanding of current business processes, performance objectives and challenges to suggest solutions and improvements and help teams to achieve maturity in performance test engineering.
- Technology Requirement Analysis
Work with project stakeholders to understand and derive Performance test requirements / SLAs and create workload mix for testing; Define performance engineering strategy and creation of performance test engineering plan
Performance Script Development / Programming - Create, debug, and maintain performance test scripts using multiple protocols in MicroFocus LoadRunner tool, C / Java / java script custom code, Postman, etc.; Set up a performance test environment, Test data creation and management; Provide technical guidance and mentorship on performance engineeringQuality ControlExecute different types of performance testing for Web applications, APIs, Oracle EBS, WMS & ClearOrbit TELNET handheld devices, APIs, and middleware components; Instrument and monitor backend servers using APM and monitoring tools; Identify performance issues and bottlenecks and support team in fixing performance issues.
Technical Communication / Presentation : Analyze performance test results, create detailed test reports and high-level summary, and track performance of the applications over time; Present the result to project stakeholders and leadership; Breaks down complex information into understandable terminology and actionable concepts and create performance report based on the audience.Emerging Technology Trends and Practices - Researches information, data, trends, and best practices in emerging technology related to Performance engineering and shares beneficial information with relevant stakeholders.Deliver a shared vision and strategy through tactical implementation. Communicate with clarity, influence others to engage and contribute, and adjust based on feedback.Requirements :
Requires Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree or experience in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in gathering and deriving Non-Functional Requirements, defining performance engineering strategy, and creation and executing of Performance test engineering plans for large projects or programs.7+ years experience in LoadRunner script creation and troubleshooting with good exposure to Web HTTP / HTML, Oracle Web / Oracle NCA, RTE, True client web and web services protocols of LoadRunner tool.2+Years of experience in a senior technical role in performance engineeringExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Experienced in a performance test environment and data setup and executing different types of performance tests.Performance monitoring of back-end systems and servers using APM tools like AppDynamics or Dynatrace and monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, SiteScope, etc.Expert in performance test result analysis, creation of performance test reportStrong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practicesPerformance bottleneck identification and debugging skills and ability to conduct performance optimization efforts.Ability to lead, execute and deliver multiple performance testing projects and large engagements coordinating with multiple stakeholders.Experience with data management tools (eg : Toad or SQL Developer) and in writing SQL queries.Experience in performance testing of Oracle R12 or Oracle Cloud and ability to do an analysis of AWR reports will be a plusExperience with the creation and delivery of artifacts and providing mentorship on performance engineering.Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.Ability to emotionally manage ambiguity, change, pushback, and failure; show servant leadership, self-awareness, humility, and ability to admit fault and learn from failure.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are more than a commitment at WWT it is the foundation of what we do.
