Responsibilities Position is in the Med / Surg Telemetry Float Pool within an acute care hospital setting Care for patients with heart dysrhythmias, GI issues, those needing dialysis, and general medical cases 34-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1 : 6 Uses Epic EMR for documentation; prior Epic experience preferred Float required within Region I facilities in the area 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage required First to float within the float pool Centralized scheduling is utilized Expected to float to other hospitals within Region I if needed Provide bedside telemetry care, monitor cardiac rhythms, and care for patients requiring low dose vasoactive infusions EKG strips are monitored by regionalized telemetry techs, not by unit RNs Charge nurse and nurse aides support provided on the unit Professional scrub colors are acceptable; no color restrictions 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation will be provided Candidates must not have been employed by the associated health system within the past year Holiday coverage is required as per unit needs Requirements Active Washington or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum two years of recent experience in Med / Surg Telemetry including dialysis and cardiac care Experience with telemetry equipment and titrating low dose dopamine drips is required Must provide two professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and another from a supervisor or peer within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility Copy of driver’s license required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611615.
