The Roanoke Times is seeking an energetic, experienced reporter to cover the region’s two major public universities, Virginia Tech and Radford University, as well as local government and business news in Virginia’s New River Valley. The focus will be on Montgomery County, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Radford. The reporter will be part of a team covering the Roanoke and New River valleys and will collaborate on regional stories. Must be skilled in writing articles and shooting / editing video and photos. The position includes occasional night and weekend shifts. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel to assignments.
