  • Delivers manufacturing automation technologies from proof-of-principle up to ready for production. Examples are material and components movements and machine tendering.
  • Lead the integration of automation technologies interacting with our IT departments and external vendors of the different factory systems.
  • Implement various automated controls technologies including PLC systems, control and communication networks, SCADA (server and standalone) systems, PC based Integration software systems, VFD and servo drives, Robotics, vision systems, program and parameter-based instrumentation and other advanced sensor technologies.
  • Specifies requirements, selects, tests and implements industrial automated solutions and processes.
  • Predicts performance and supports the execution of the selected option.
  • Effectively operates in a team environment including the ability to communicate effectively, to build collaborative relationships, and to contribute to a healthy team culture.
  • Influences project direction based on analysis and understanding of project facts. Able to gather and analyze data in area of responsibility.
  • Sets personal direction, manages multiple priorities, and grows personal knowledge and capability to deliver expected results and meet the business need.
  • Follows and leverages the proper engineering and project management tools and work processes.
  • Actively seeks out cost reduction opportunities.

Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with cobot or robot applications in industrial environments, and / or other pick-and-place applications.
  • Experience defining and writing requirements for industrial automation solutions.
  • Visions systems knowledge and experience are a plus, including ML / AI.
  • Ideally, experience with systems integration at factory floor level for the operation of AGVs / AMRs and machine tendering (automation of feeding raw materials into production lines).
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) applications. This Includes distributed automation control applications, data archiving, automation software applications, virtual server control, application database and reporting tools. Knowledge of high-level programming languages is a plus.

  • Manages time effectively by understanding assignment requirements, prioritizing objectives, and scheduling tasks accordingly.

  • Displays excellent written / oral communication skills.
  • Quickly adapts to changing environments and business direction
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Minimum B.S. in Engineering with preference for Robotics, Mechatronics or Automation / Industrial Systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field engineering position is a must.
  • Similar CPG industry experience is a plus.
  • TRAVEL

  • This position might require domestic and international travel – approximately 10-25%
