Network Systems Engineer
RTL Networks has an exciting opportunity for a DoD SECRET cleared Network Systems Engineer to join our team providing engineering support to the Combined Orbital Operations Logistics and Resiliency (COOLR Sustainment) program.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Design and Implementation : The network engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet.
- Network Devices : Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Network Security : The network engineer will ensure the security of the network by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures to protect against unauthorized access and malicious activity.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance : The network engineer will troubleshoot and resolve network issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and ensure that the network is running efficiently and effectively.
- Collaboration and Communication : The network engineer will work with other teams, such as IT and cybersecurity, to ensure that network infrastructure meets business needs and will communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Staying Up-to-Date with Technology : The network engineer will stay current with the latest network technologies, trends, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve the network infrastructure and services.
Qualifications :
Advanced degree and 3 years' experience or bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience or equivalent.Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) criteria or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification at time of hire (i.e., Security+CE).Physical Demands :
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.Security Clearance Requirements :
