SCCC REFERENCE # : \n\n25-64\n\nDATE : \n\nOctober 27, 2025\n\nTITLE : \n\nProvisional - Registered Nurse Supervisor - Clinic\n\nCAMPUS : \n\nGrant Campus in Brentwood\n\nSTART DATE : \n\nASAP\n\nTYPE OF APPOINTMENT : \n\nFull-Time\n\nRANK : \n\nCivil Service\n\nPOSITION DESCRIPTION : \n\nThe Registered Nurse Supervisor reports to the Associate Dean of Student Services. Duties of the position include : \n

  • Provides emergency / first aid care as needed to the college community including students, staff, and faculty.\n
  • Coordinates the processing of student immunization records in compliance with New York State and Suffolk County Health Laws. Uses computer software programs as needed to locate and enter student immunization records and clearances.\n
  • Oversees student clearance requirements for clinical assignments offered by Health Careers programs, e.g. Nursing.\n
  • Coordinates all activities and programs offered by the Health Services Office.\n
  • Hires, supervises and evaluates part-time staff.\n
  • Coordinates and provides nursing coverage for Commencement and other College events, as requested by administration.\n
  • Prepares reports as needed including an annual and mid-year report\n
  • Inventories, orders, and maintains medications, NARCAN, first aid supplies and campus AED's and maintains proper levels of office supplies and equipment.\n
  • Participates in campus and college committees and college assessment efforts.\n
  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Student Services.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : \n
  • Four (4) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, two (2) years of which must have been in ambulatory care.\n
  • Necessary Special Requirement : Candidates must possess a Registered Nurse license issued by the State of New York. Current registration must be maintained through the term of the employment\n\nHIRING SALARY : \n
  • As per the Association of Municipal Employees (AME) contract, the starting annual salary is $59,038. (Grade 22). Position is eligible for medical benefits as offered by the College.\n
  • Salary in accordance with Suffolk County civil service and AME contract and is non-negotiable.\n
  • Provisional Appointment – This position requires an appointment from a certified eligible list and currently there is no established list.
