Traveling Superintendent - Life Science Team
We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Superintendent to join our life science team. This role involves overseeing construction projects in various locations, including Salt Lake City, Denver, and Phoenix, depending on project timing and your skill set. You must be willing to travel and adapt to project needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production and construction activities of the site to ensure compliance with CRB standards and requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and the scheduled completion date.
- Coordinate, plan, and supervise craft superintendents, contractors, and craft activities.
- Oversee discipline-specific scopes of work ranging from $2MM to $10MM with minimal guidance.
- Conduct pre-task reviews with foremen and participate in safety reviews each morning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
- Interface with clients, from facilities managers to senior executives, including participating in OAC meetings.
- Create and maintain project schedules using MS Projects and / or P6.
Essential Skills
Extensive experience in construction management with a focus on safety, mechanical, and electrical aspects.Proficiency with project management software such as Procore and PlanGrid.Experience in life science, food and beverage, industrial, commercial, hospitals, distribution centers, and mission-critical environments.Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate discipline-specific scopes of work.Strong subcontractor management skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with projects valued at $5 million and larger.Familiarity with Lean Tools for schedule, constructability, and sequencing.Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite and mobile devices.Design / Build experience is a plus.Discipline-specific expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, or Piping / Plumbing.Experience with VDC apps is advantageous.Work Environment
This position requires a team-oriented individual capable of managing others effectively. You will be working on mid to large-sized projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications. The role involves standard hours dictated by the facilities, typically starting at 6 or 6 : 30 am for an 8-hour day. Travel is a significant component, with the company providing flights home every other week and offering per diem and mileage. The work culture emphasizes safety and proactive management to meet project standards and timelines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.00 / hr.
