Job Description :
The Quality Inspector 2 inspects a range of components, parts and / or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance instructions.
Responsibilities :
- Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
- Perform continuous uninterrupted visual inspections, with and without magnifying devices.
- Participates in gathering statistical data from product and processes
- Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro- mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
- Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards, and harness assemblies.
- Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance / rejection of inspected and / or tested items
- Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues
- Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling
- Locate and utilize correct part, assembly, and material specifications or drawings.
- Use tolerances and dimensions to required accuracy and precision.
- Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulation.
- Filing of both hard copy and electronic records
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Education and Experience :
High school diploma / GED2 - 5 years of relevant experience (Aerospace and Electronics environments preferred)Skills and Knowledge :
