Education : High school diploma or GED preferred

Certifications : Forklift, if necessary

Quality Metric : Scrap Dollars, Rejected or reworked painted parts

Minimum Qualifications

• Comfortable with using computer (email, data entry, and touch screens for equipment) Introductory Level : Primary focus is learning the process
• Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)
• Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals
• Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace
• Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement
• Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible
• Identifies possible solutions when communicating problems

• Ability to learn, understand and adhere to standard work
• Understands the importance of safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Responsive to internal and external customer needs Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)
• Able to properly inspect, load and unload the paint system
• Able to properly prepare parts for the paint system (sanding, plugging, eye bolts, etc)
• Able to load, unload and operate the burn-off oven
• Understand and follow the work instructions and quality standards for the department
• Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs) Qualified Level : Primary focus is performing the essential duties of the position
• Is committed to a continuous self-development plan
• Supports team and cross functional activities
• Competent use of the 9 Step Problem Solving Process
• Pursues process improvements
• Certifies others to standard work
• Sets-up processes without assistance

• Understand and demonstrate proper sequencing of the system
• Understand kanban systems and their elements (including the FIFO supermarket) Able to demonstrate the ability to operate the sequencing computer system. Able to train others in all aspects of the position
