Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and engineering efforts for a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial buildings, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will oversee mechanical systems from initial concept through final construction, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. Prior experience in healthcare environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and engineering for multidisciplinary projects from schematic development through construction administration
- Prepare detailed construction documentation and specifications in alignment with project goals and regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration
- Conduct site visits during design and construction phases to assess system installations and resolve field issues
- Maintain active communication with project stakeholders to support coordination and timely decision-making
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)Active Professional Engineer (PE) license requiredStrong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 170, NFPA 99, NFPA 101, IECC, and IBCDemonstrated experience in designing medical gas systemsProficient in AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical drafting and modelingExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across teams and clientsPaid Time Off (PTO) : 4 weeks of vacation per year. Vacation time does not accrue year to year; unused vacation may be considered in bonus calculations. Additional 2 weeks paid leave per year for military service / training. Paid sick leave up to 6 days per year, non-accrual, subject to officer discretion.Paid Holidays : 13 paid holidays per year.Health Insurance : 100% employer-paid major medical insurance for employees; 75% employer-paid premium for dependents. Employees are responsible for deductibles and 25% of dependent premiums.
