job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPerforms system management for enterprise servers and host systems; manages 50+ servers in active directory environment, ensuring that each server has 100% uptime. Maintains and monitors system performances using diagnostics and server management software, monitor system logs and activities on all servers and devices. Analyses system configuration and complies statistics for performance benchmarks; troubleshoots problems with networks, web services, mail services and overall aspects of ASP solution. Maintains system flowcharts, documentation, procedures and hardware inventories. Plans, designs, and coordinates the installation of system software and hardware; Coordinate with other IT departments to schedule releases of software updates. Performs operating systems upgrades and manages upgrades of applications software. Maintains a broad knowledge of operating systems, software and hardware. Research new developments in system hardware and software. Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associated software. Designs and implements security management system for all servers and host configuration assuring that each system is protected from intrusion of software and hardware. Communicates with service and maintenance entities to determine the cause of system equipment failure and applies repairs and fixes. Deploys and maintains firewalls and all host security activities. Oversees installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the servers. Installs, configures and manages printer systems. Designs and implements disaster recovery plan for operating systems, databases, networks, servers, and software applications. Provides on-call technical support and technical assistance and training to other department staff. Analyzes system and application usage and plans for growth or increases in system capacity. Assesses needs for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and executes them if required. Interacts and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services. Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures for system administration and appropriate use. Establishes service level agreements with end users. Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Performs network security audits and system backups. Monitors and tests server software performance and provides statistical reports. Recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements, upgrades, and purchases. Attends and actively participates in division and department meetings. Submits various reports such as monthly report, weekly report, and outage report. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 2 - 3 years' experience in System Administration.
- 3 or more years' experience with MCSA or MCITP.
- 3 or more years' experience with data management.
- 3 or more years' experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- 3 or more years' experience in a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of VMware, Azure Cloud Services, and Windows server environment.
- Knowledge of TCP / IP stacks and their functionality.
- Working knowledge of web application security, understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
- Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review).
