The Actuarial Internship for Kuvare Corporate Management (KCM) is designed to offer an array of experiences including Life and Annuity Valuation, Modeling and Forecasting, Pricing and Product Management, Asset Liability Management, and Enterprise Risk Management.
What you'll do
As an intern your day-to-day activities will be dependent on the function you are supporting and are expected to change throughout your internship. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Valuation tasks :
Prepare and help monitor reserve trends monthly on GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting basesDevelop management reporting for existing businessAssist in preparation of Statutory Annual and Quarterly StatementsUpdate models and organize results for management.Assist in gathering information and analysis for external auditor inspectionsProduct Management tasks :
Produce, present, and improve monthly business monitoring reportingProvide insight and analysis to inforce experience trendsAssist in the development and analyze annual Illustration Actuary testing modelsAssist on special policy illustration requestsAssist on Product related projects and requestsModeling and Forecasting tasks :
Build and review model inputs to support financial projection capabilityExecute and monitor model projections including troubleshooting model calculationsAnalyze model output ensuring accuracy with intended model purposeQualifications
Progress towards, or completion of a BA / BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related areaSuccess in passing at least one SOA / CAS exam preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong business and collaboration skillsProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PPT)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsFlexible can-do attitude, willing to help out with all types of tasks in an ever-changing environmentPassion to learn new things and design new solutionsWork both independently and as part of a teamPI2ef58678328c-30511-38538559
