Job Description Summary
The Category Sales Development Analyst will act as the primary sales data analyst for the Retail team, working closely with the Senior Manager Category Sales Development to develop insights and recommendations to grow our business with all customers. The analyst will develop and own key reporting capabilities from a variety of data sources for both internal and external uses. The analyst will work closely with other Retail team members and cross-functional partners.
Job Description
- Develop key sales reports to identify business opportunities, gaps, and key learnings
- Create dashboards and standardized views of business performance for all levels of the organization
- Synthesize information from various sources (syndicated data, internal shipment data, competitive intel, etc.) and investigate anomalies to create business insight and formulate recommendations
- Deliver and present data and findings in a meaningful format to organization / partners in support of current business initiatives and projects
- Partner with key stakeholders to apply reporting insights and recommendations toward future business needs and opportunities
- Build knowledge base in managing reporting platforms to ensure data integrity
- Stimulate continuous enhancement of analytical framework and sales reporting tools and deliverables
- Answer ad-hoc questions and provide ad-hoc reporting related to business performance across all Retail products
- Provide analytical support for retail sales teams for external customer presentations, partnering with the Account Management, Marketing, Finance, RGM, and Category Leadership teams
- Provide ad-hoc data requests from Retail Sales systems for cross-functional teams
- Supports sales training activities including onboarding new hires, Potato 101 and product knowledge, and business unit-wide development needs in support of Retail's functional competencies.

Education : BA / BS degree requiredExperience : 3-5 years' related experience in sales analyticsRetail or Consumer Packaged Goods specific experience preferredSuccessful experience with data analysis including :Experience in manipulating and syndicating data from a variety of sourcesExperience in managing data accuracy for reportingComfortable learning new systems and ways of working within them as they are launched or evolvedIn-depth expertise in the use and applications across a variety of technologies and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel and Power BI) and third-party data sources (NIQ, Circana, SPINS)Ability to work with raw retailer data, e.g. POS, panel, loyalty; space management software (Space Planning, Blue Yonder) a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organization and prioritization skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with partners at various levels of the organizationCritical-thinking and creative problem-solving abilitySelf-starter with the ability to function in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a positive attitudeAbility to travel independently up to 10% of the time.Supervision
