Responsibilities

The Field Network Support Specialist is responsible for traveling to and between jobsites to deploy, troubleshoot, test, and document IT networks. This role serves as a hands-on extension of the Network Administration team, ensuring that the jobsite technology infrastructure is deployed efficiently, maintained effectively, and documented accurately.

Essential Functions

• Travel regularly to jobsites (approx. 75% travel across Indiana; occasional travel to NC, WI, OH, IL, and other locations).
• Install, configure, and support networking hardware / software on jobsites.
• Build and maintain structured cabling / network cabinets to company standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, latency, and performance issues.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate with ISPs to ensure reliable service.
• Document configurations, maintain inventories, and support end users.
