Job Purpose / Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager to guide products either through the full production lifecycleincluding sustainment, maintenance, and growth with active usersor through the R&D process from initial concept to launch readiness. This role requires the ability to define product vision and strategy, translate user and stakeholder needs into clear requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are valuable, usable, and impactful. Product Managers are expected to balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility in partnership with engineers, TPMs, designers, and researchers, ensuring products meet high standards of usability, scalability, and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Define, maintain, and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
Translate user needs, customer insights, and market opportunities into clear product requirements and prioritized backlogs.
Collaborate with engineering, design, research, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Support product development at all stages, from concept ideation through prototyping, launch, and ongoing lifecycle management.
Engage with users, customers, and stakeholders to gather feedback through formal and informal user research, ad-hoc feedback, and customer insights.
Support UI / UX design decisions by representing the user perspective, ensuring product designs align with current workflows, needs, and expectations.
Balance user requirements, business objectives, and technical feasibility when shaping product direction and making tradeoff decisions.
Prepare and deliver product documentation, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Support compliance with relevant industry standards and security practices.
Stay current with product management best practices, emerging technologies, and the domains in which the products are used.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience managing products through the full lifecycle (concept to launch and beyond).

Strong skills in developing product requirements, roadmaps, and backlogs.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, research, business analysts, and TPMs.

Familiarity with Agile or similar development methodologies.

Ability to gather, interpret, and act on customer feedback, market data, and research insights.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance customer, business, and technical needs.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

(Preferred) Experience with SaaS products, R&D environments, or regulated industries (e.g., defense, government, law enforcement).

Working conditions

This position is remote with occasional in-person meetings as needed.

Occasional travel may be required for user research, field testing, customer meetings, or industry events.

Work primarily within U.S. time zones, with occasional availability for meetings or collaboration in international time zones as needed.

Physical requirements

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.

Ability to travel as needed.

Stable work environment to safely house company equipment.
