BAW (Bulk Acoustic Wave) Filter Design Winter / Spring Co-Op (Jan '26 - June '26)

Overview

Skyworks Solutions is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our RF engineering team, focusing on Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) filter design and development. This role offers hands-on experience in the design, simulation, and characterization of high-performance RF filters used in wireless communication systems. The student will work onsite full-time in our Andover, MA design center from January to May / June 2026.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and simulation of BAW filters using industry-standard tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS, COMSOL).
• Conduct topology studies, evaluate design alternatives, and contribute to design optimization.
• Support Design reviews.
• Perform electrical characterization and data analysis.
• Support failure investigations.
• Assist in data processing / reporting tasks using Python or MATLAB.
• Document design procedures, test results, and technical findings.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
