Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.
Job Summary
The Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Graduate School's admissions function. This role is responsible for enrollment forecasting, policy enforcement, cross-unit coordination, and highlevel supervision of all personnel involved in recruitment, application processing, and partnership management. The Director ensures all operations align with institutional and USG goals and state / federal regulations while positioning the University for scalable growth
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Enrollment Management-
Develop and implement comprehensive enrollment strategies in collaboration with the Dean. Forecast graduate enrollment trends and provide regular reports to institutional leadership.
Monitor admissions funnel data and drive conversion improvements from inquiry through enrollment. Coordinate yield strategies aligned with workforce development and university priorities.
Partnership Oversight and Pipeline Expansion-
Provide final oversight of all admissions activity tied to external partnerships. Supervise the Assistant Director's execution of Georgia's Best, and future initiatives. Establish scalable frameworks for onboarding and managing new high-volume pipelines. Represent the Graduate School in high-level district and systemwide discussions.
Team Leadership and Supervision-
Directly supervise the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions and oversee their supervision of Graduate Admissions Counselors. Ensure consistency in processing, policy adherence, and staff training across roles. Manage staff performance, facilitate team development, and support succession planning.
Admissions Policy, Compliance, and Innovation-
Maintain and enforce all graduate admissions policies in compliance with USG and federal regulations. Collaborate with legal, academic affairs, and registrar offices to ensure ongoing compliance. Innovate admissions practices through continuous improvement, digital workflow enhancements, and process optimization.
Data, Technology, and Reporting-
Oversee CRM data management in coordination with Graduate Admissions staff. Support institutional and external reports (e.g., IPEDS, US News) in partnership with Institutional Research. Analyze CRM and Banner data to identify efficiency gaps and support data-driven decision-making.

Master's Degree
Required Experience
Master's degree in Higher Education, Public Administration, Business, or related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in graduate admissions or enrollment management. Demonstrated success in supervising teams and managing complex admissions operations. Experience with Slate CRM, Banner, and integrated student systems. High proficiency in
communication, data analysis, policy implementation, and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Currently or previously Slate Certified and / or served as a Slate Captain. Proven ability to interpret and implement USG policies related to graduate admissions, enrollment compliance, and data integrity. Experience in advocating for graduate education within broader institutional or state policy frameworks, including collaboration with legislative, workforce, or P-20 partnerships. Prior involvement in institutional initiatives and partnerships leading to enrollment pipelines (e.g., Georgia's BEST, articulation agreements, adult learner pipelines) aimed at expanding access to graduate education.
Proposed Salary
$120,000 Annually. Paid on a Monthly Basis.

KNOWLEDGE
In-depth knowledge of graduate admissions operations, strategic enrollment management, and best practices in student recruitment and retention. ¿ Comprehensive understanding of state, federal, and USG (University System of Georgia) policies governing admissions, records, and compliance. Expertise in CRM systems (particularly Slate), Banner, and other integrated student information systems. Knowledge of marketing and communication strategies that support yield management, pipeline development, and audience-specific engagement. Familiarity with institutional reporting requirements (e.g., IPEDS, US News), performance metrics, and higher education data
analytics.
