Patient ratio experience of 5 : 1 is required.

Charting system experience is preferred.

Description :

The Registered Nurse in the acute care setting manages the patient and family experience through the utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment, knowledge, and skills.

The nurse provides indirect and direct care to patients across a range of ages and developmental stages, primarily focusing on adults to geriatrics.

Utilization of the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation is essential to meet the physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families.

The nurse is responsible for managing the care of assigned patients and directing the activities of ancillary staff.

Comprehensive nursing care of patients is performed in conjunction with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services.

Individualized, goal-directed nursing care is provided through the use of the nursing processes and documentation from admission to discharge.

Additional Information :

Patient demographics primarily include adults and geriatrics.

The daily patient census will be determined by unit needs.

Interdisciplinary support is provided by physical therapy, respiratory services, and other allied health professionals.

Education and additional certifications may be required related to specific skills and procedures relevant to the rehabilitation specialty.
