Location : Yuma, AZ 85364 (Arizona healthcare jobs)

Facility Type : Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 6 / 2025 – End : 1 / 5 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2310 - $2470

Weekend Requirement : 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Holiday Requirement : 2 out of 3 holidays assigned during contract

Scrubs : Provided by hospital

L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or compact state (Arizona RN jobs)

Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Current BLS and NRP certifications

AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification

Proficiency in vaginal exams, C-section circulation, newborn transitions, IV starts, blood draws, APGAR scoring, postpartum hemorrhage control, epidurals, and amnio infusion

Ability to titrate drips (Magnesium, Pitocin, insulin, blood)

Experience caring for antepartum and postpartum patients

Spanish-speaking skills highly preferred for diverse patient population

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 9-bed Labor & Delivery unit

Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections (2 OR suites), and newborn transitions

Perform and document patient assessments, interventions, and education

Collaborate with OB / GYNs, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and OB techs

Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings using CPN Centricity EFM system

Respond to obstetric emergencies and manage postpartum hemorrhage

Float to NICU, Pediatrics, Women's Health, MedSurg, or ICU as needed

Maintain accurate charting in EPIC system
