How Youll Make an Impact
As the HR Chief of Staff, youll act as the operational right hand to the Chief People Officer (CPO). Youll drive strategic alignment, remove executional barriers, and coordinate cross-functional work to ensure the smooth execution of HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Translate the CPOs vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes
Coordinate between the CPO, HR staff, and department leaders to align priorities
Drive operational efficiency through systems and process improvements
Keep initiatives on track, identifying risks and proactively solving problems
Foster a high-performance culture by ensuring HR team members are equipped to succeed
Represent the CPO in assigned meetings, communications, and initiatives
Lead through influence, modeling a culture of collaboration and accountability
What You Bring
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors or advanced degree in Human Resources
10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources
8+ years in senior or leadership-level HR roles
Extraordinary emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
Alignment with the philosophies from Powerful and the Netflix Culture Deck
Detail-oriented, organized, and calm under pressure
Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Critical thinker with a sense of urgency and a team-first mindset
Embody the values of Teamwork, Courage, Integrity, and Upright Zeal
Ability to integrate into new teams and navigate change at a thoughtful pace
Self-aware communicator who adapts to others' learning and communication styles
Preferred Experience and Certifications
SPHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification
Change Management training or certification
Project Management or Lean Principles training / certification
Work Environment and Schedule
Position is primarily on-site at multiple Lansing-area locations
Standard operating hours : MondayFriday, 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM
Flexibility may be available for the right candidate (e.g., four-day or 30-hour workweek)
May require occasional work outside standard business hours
Travel between local sites is expected
