Diesel Mechanic

We are a busy and well-established construction company looking for a dependable

• Diesel Mechanic with fabrication skills
• to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy equipment. If you have hands-on experience with construction machinery and can fabricate parts and components as needed, this is an excellent opportunity to join a solid team with year-round work.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems on construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and skid steers.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Fabricate, weld, and modify parts, attachments, and structural components.
• Troubleshoot field issues and perform mobile repairs when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and company guidelines.
• Qualifications :
• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy construction equipment.
• Skilled in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Strong fabrication ability—capable of building and modifying metal components from blueprints or on-the-fly solutions.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in the shop and in the field.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus).
• Preferred Experience :
• Field service truck operation and job site repairs.
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA safety regulations.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours : 40 – 45 per week
