Electrical Supervisor

The City of New Orleans is seeking an Electrical Supervisor. This highly responsible supervisory administrative and technical position directs and coordinates the work of electricians and maintenance personnel engaged in the construction, installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of high, medium and low-voltage electrical, communications and electronics systems.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, a valid Class "A" Master Electrical License or a Louisiana State Electrical License or Journeymen's License, and at least eight years of full-time paid experience as a licensed electrician with at least five years of this experience at an airport facility. Alternatively, candidates may have eight years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, engineering, design, commissioning, maintenance, or manufacturing, with at least five years of recent experience in large and complex work environments such as hospitals, municipalities, post-secondary campuses, or industrial plants. At least three years of supervisory experience managing teams is also required.
