RINA is currently recruiting for a Full Stack Developer to join its office in Naples within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.

Mission

This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions, both standalone (WPF) and web-based, integrating computational models, external libraries (C#, Fortran, C), and Python-based modules. The developer ensures robust, scalable, and maintainable code while respecting project timelines, performance, and quality requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Design, implement, and maintain full-stack applications (front-end and back-end), primarily using C# and WPF for desktop solutions and modern frameworks for web-based systems.

Integrate computational models and external DLLs (C#, Fortran, C) as well as Python scripts or APIs into the application workflow.

Design and maintain relational database schemas, queries, and stored procedures, preferably using Microsoft SQL Server.

Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement data processing pipelines, automation routines, and visualization components.

Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Participate in code reviews, propose improvements, and ensure adherence to best practices for clean architecture and maintainability.

Prepare technical documentation for developed software, including architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and user manuals.

Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues.

Work closely with project managers, analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and align development efforts with project objectives.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, CI / CD pipelines, and DevOps practices where applicable.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C# .NET (preferably .NET 6 / 7 / 8) for developing standalone (WPF) and web-based applications.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, with hands-on experience in SQL Server (design, optimization, stored procedures).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design, development, and integration with front-end applications.
• Basic knowledge of automation frameworks, data acquisition, or data processing pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git (or Azure DevOps repos) for version control and collaborative development.
• Understanding of software architecture principles, including modular and scalable design.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Interest in keeping up to date with emerging .NET technologies and best practices in back-end development.
