Job Description :

As a Sr. Platform Operations Admin on our Team, You Will Drive and participate in solution architecture and Infrastructure delivery across Data Services and Engineering line of business portfolio at our client location. Our client being a leading name in the hospitality and entertainment industry. You will be offering expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure provision and operations , supporting docker based setups, working with cloud-native architectures

Develop, enhance, and operate platform capabilities including storage configurations, middleware upgrades on cloud, setting up and managing infrastructure as code, automation solutions that enable rapid, reliable, and secure deployments on AWS cloud.

You will be supporting large scale enterprise data warehousing solutions and assets such as Hadoop, Hive, Snowflake and so on. A good awareness of these technologies is a desired skill.

Design and implement standardized, reusable cloud infrastructure templates that help teams adopt best practices while maintaining security and compliance requirements

Demonstrate, enable, and promote consistent adoption of software delivery practices and solutions that optimize for fast feedback, observability, and operational excellence

You will be upgrading and maintain latest and greatest versions of middleware software such as DataIKU, Cloudera AI, Starburst, Zabbix, Jenkins, and other such licensed software products, that may include SAAS solutions.

Proactively collaborate with engineering teams, showcasing technical leadership and hands on Troubleshooting expertise for critical problems in Development and Production environments.

Evaluate existing standards and practices, identify gaps, and suggest implementing improvements to strengthen Development, Security, and Operational practices across the business organization.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills through proactive status updates, clear documentation, knowledge sharing, and effective collaboration when facing technical challenges

Partner closely with engineering teams to understand their needs, refine requirements, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure solutions that enhance developer productivity while meeting project objectives such as optimizing cloud cost.

Work with emerging technologies around AI, MCP, RAG, as well as legacy software products being used by the client business.

Strong communication skills to deliver technical information to non-technical audience and a quick learner to learn new technologies faster.

Qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• AWS Expertise : 5-8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, with a strong focus on storage, compute and middleware support.
• Linux Proficiency : Minimum of 6 years of experience managing and maintaining Linux systems.
• Automation / Scripting : 4+ years of experience with Python for automation and scripting.
• Git and GitOps : Practical experience and comfortable using Git and automated workflows.
• AWS Security Knowledge : Familiarity with AWS security best practices, including DNS, secure VPCs, and data security on cloud.
• Middleware Operations : Very strong in handling Linux based software installations, Docker containers, securing middleware using SSL Certs and such essential middleware operations.
• Communication & Collaboration : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex security / infrastructure concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

NICE TO HAVE

This role requires four days of onsite presence (Monday to Thursday) located in Orlando and can work remotely during Fridays.
