Licensed Mechanical Design Engineer

A company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Molten Chloride Fast Reactor program.

Key Responsibilities

Develop material models and support novel analysis methodologies in the Mechanical Design discipline

Generate basic sizing calculations for reactor components

Perform mechanical analyses using the finite element method with commercial codes

Required Qualifications and Education

B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline with 4+ years of experience, or M.S. with 2+ years of experience

Engineer in Training (EIT) or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) desired

Recent experience with mechanical analysis software (ANSYS preferred)

Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

Familiarity with material failure mechanisms and design standards
