Position Summary
The Manager, Quality Services and Infection Prevention, provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for quality performance and infection prevention. The role ensures high-quality patient care through establishing clinical practices, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives. Collaborating with nursing, medical staff, executives, and the quality team, the manager supports Baptist Health's goals. Responsibilities include surveillance, analysis, reporting of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), staff education, and policy development aligned with national standards and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities
Communicate corporate quality and safety initiatives to all team members and physicians.Develop and monitor action plans for clinical quality and infection prevention improvement.Lead implementation of strategies focused on quality, safety, and service across departments.Collaborate with performance improvement teams and quality councils to identify and act on improvement opportunities.Monitor hospital progress on quality scorecards and Board metrics.Participate in and lead performance improvement activities to reduce infection risks.Ensure compliance with infection control practices and regulatory standards (JCAHO, AHCA, OSHA, CMS, CDC).Develop and maintain policies meeting national infection control standards.Conduct surveillance, analysis, and reporting of HAIs.Investigate clusters and outbreaks, providing actionable reports.Educate employees on infection prevention and regulatory requirements.Develop and deliver educational programs organization-wide.Establish positive relationships with medical staff, leadership, and support services.Support a culture of safety through collaboration with operational and clinical teams.Participate in healthcare technology and systems integration to support service needs.Use data analytics to inform infection prevention strategies and metrics.Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating the Infection Prevention and Control Program.Lead infection prevention and quality committees.Report findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Maintain compliance with Baptist Health / Orlando Health policies and procedures.Qualifications
Education / Training : Bachelor's degree in a clinical field; Registered Nurse, Medical Technologist, or Registered Respiratory Therapist. BSN or MSN preferred.Licensure / Certification : Active nursing license preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within three years of hire, renewed every five years.Experience : Minimum of three years' clinical experience with demonstrated involvement in quality initiatives.
