Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med / Surg Tele position working night shifts with behavioral health patient exposure and Epic charting required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Behavioral health patient population alongside typical Med / Surg Tele cases
  • Patient ratios are typically 1 : 5-6
  • Night shift schedule consisting of four 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Every other weekend required
  • Required to float within scope to like units and may float to sister campuses
  • Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required
  • Royal blue and white scrubs are required
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible
  • Travelers on night shift may extend assignment up to two times; those on day shift may extend once
  • Must submit all time off and scheduling requests at the time of application
  • Holidays coverage limited to one holiday with RTO subject to manager's approval
  • Team environment in a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

  • Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of application
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele experience required
  • Behavioral health experience preferred
  • Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
  • No previous background or license hits within the past year
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the hospital
  • Pre-start modules must be completed prior to assignment
