Key Job Details – Columbus Healthcare Jobs Location : Columbus, OH 43210 Unit : Medical Oncology & Benign Hematology (17 East and West) Employment Type : Travel RN Contract Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), 3 shifts / week Weekly Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,940 - $1,990 Orientation : 1 week dayshift (Mon-Fri), plus 36 hours with preceptor Self-Scheduling : Requests accommodated prior to final schedule Weekend Coverage : Variable, based on unit needs Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent Med / Surg RN experience (Oncology nursing experience preferred) Active RN license (Ohio or compact state required) Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program BLS certification required Proficiency with Epic charting system Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred Ability to float to other Med / Surg Oncology units Previous travel nursing experience preferred Two professional references (one from manager / director) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Ohio fingerprinting required upon contract signing Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients (breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, esophageal cancers) Administer antineoplastic chemotherapy and support patients throughout their cancer journey Implement infection prevention and patient fall precautions Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage central lines, administer blood products, and perform tracheostomy care Document care using Epic electronic health records Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, rapid response) Float to other Med / Surg Oncology units as needed Participate in self-scheduling and adapt to variable weekend coverage Discover the best of Columbus, Ohio, while advancing your oncology nursing career in a supportive healthcare environment.
