Position Summary :

Under the general supervision of the AVP of Human Resources, the HRIS Analyst / Payroll Liaison plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of employee data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This position ensures accurate processing of employment transactions, supports payroll operations, and serves as a key liaison between CSUDH, the Chancellor's Office, the State Controller's Office, and internal payroll units. This position may require overtime during peak transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities :

• HRIS Administration
• Enter and validate employee data for students, staff, and faculty.
• Ensure compliance with CSU policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with HRIS, payroll staff, and campus departments to maintain data accuracy.
• Monitor employment expiration dates and certifications.
• Payroll Liaison
• Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related matters.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and coordinate with external agencies.
• Assist employees with pay-related inquiries and system access.
• Recommend process improvements and support payroll audits.
• Cross-Functional Support

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent training and at least two years of Human Resources administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and / or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Strong data entry and validation skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to take initiative and work independently in a dynamic environment.
