Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead a critical access hospital pharmacy in Hillsboro, IL. This is a temporary assignment until a permanent hire is identified.
Schedule :
Weekdays : 7 : 30 AM 4 : 00 PM or 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM
On-call for STAT / urgent medications (weekends covered by PRN staff)
Responsibilities :
Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and provide leadership for pharmacy operations
Partner with Infection Prevention Specialist on Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Infection Prevention mittee
Lead and facilitate Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) mittee
Assess and ensure quality and regulatory pliance in pharmacy operations
Oversee sterile pounding practices and pharmacy technician tasks
Review and update policies, protocols, and order sets
Strengthen interdepartmental munication and collaboration
Requirements :
Active Illinois Pharmacist License
Inpatient pharmacy experience required
Leadership or management experience preferred
Sterile pounding petency
Technology & Automation :
Order Entry System : CPSI experience preferred, not required
Automation : Sentri7 (for antimicrobial stewardship requirements)
Site Information :
Critical Access Hospital accredited by DNV
Small staff : 1 pharmacist + 1 tech (PRN staff available)
Dress Code : Business casual
