Job Overview :

The Compliance Coordinator  is responsible for maintaining the visual and functional integrity of the Valencia Master Community Association through the enforcement of CC&Rs, community guidelines, and architectural standards. This includes driving and walking the community to identify potential violations, issuing and processing notices, maintaining records, and working collaboratively with homeowners, management, and the Board to ensure consistent, fair, and effective enforcement.

Compensation : $22-24hr (commensurate with experience and scope of responsibilities)

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Conduct regular field inspections by vehicle and on foot to identify and document community rule violations.
  • Issue and process violation notices in accordance with the Association’s enforcement policies and timelines.
  • Serve as a liaison between homeowners, the management team, and the Board regarding compliance matters.
  • Maintain accurate enforcement and architectural records using Connect, Tasks, and internal databases.
  • Follow up with homeowners regarding violation status and assist in resolution when possible.
  • Collaborate with the Community Design Review Specialist and Senior Community Manager on architectural enforcement and hearing agendas.
  • Collaborate with Senior Community Manager and Accounts Receivable team on delinquency enforcement matters.
  • Prepare and present violation summaries, reports, and hearing materials for Covenant Committee or Board review.
  • Attend monthly Covenant Committee and other enforcement-related meetings, including occasional evening sessions.
  • Provide input on process improvements related to compliance and homeowner communications.
  • Respond to homeowner correspondence in a timely, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned, including administrative support and backup coverage for onsite teammates.
  • Maintain weekly designated on-site hours for meeting directly with homeowners to discuss enforcement matters and general association Issues.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to explain enforcement issues with clarity and empathy.
  • Strong customer service focus; must be calm under pressure and able to de-escalate conflict.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn internal software tools (e.g., Connect, SmartWebs).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a consistent weekly field inspection schedule.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed.
  • Education & Experience :

  • High School Diploma; College Degree preferred

  • Must be able to sit, walk, and drive for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to navigate stairs and uneven terrain in outdoor environments.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, vendors and our clients.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a consistent weekly field inspection schedule.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Regular on-site presence required, including designated hours for direct interaction with homeowners and staff.
  • Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed.
  • Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
