Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent IT experience Very strong Hands-on experience (Required 5+ years) in network engineering and security including evaluating, developing, customizing, installing, and supporting network systems, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks and other networks and data center equipment Analysis and implementation of new security protocols for greater efficiency against any threats or malfunctions Part of the security team which reports the security analysis of findings, investigation of security breach alert, etc. Maintenance and implementation of the SOP for network security Responsible for change control management for all network and security changes. Assist in security audits and assessments. Finding security issues and eradicating them with focuses that range from large scale DDoS, routing security, security tool development, defense against internal and external attacks. Ability to perform under stress. Collaborative\Team player Initiative, reliability & strong attention to detail Written and verbal communication skills Time management, planning and organizational skills. Customer-service oriented mindset and Ability to come into office as this is an on-premises position. Availability to work nights and weekends during (un)planned outages and other special circumstances, with 24 / 7 accountability. Ability to lift 50 lbs. CCNP or related certification is required. - Responsible for daily support of the NYCHSRO / MedReview data network and security implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN, LAN, and server architecture.
- Responsible for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations.
- This position will provide multiple levels of support for all network troubleshooting and resolution.
- The Network Engineer will ensure smooth operations to provide maximum security, performance and availability and support current and future project implementation efforts.
