Traveler Experience : Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes Skills : Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA / Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions / Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience

Patient population : strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling / clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used : EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring) SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Comprehensive Stroke Center SPECIAL EQUIPMENT : EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun. UNIT SYSTEMS : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE : Per the Unit Needs UNIT ORIENTATION : 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights SCRUBS : Not Provided. Navy blue & White.
